The idea to revive the cross in the pastures near the Hořenice farm came to its inhabitants couple of years ago. At that point, there was only a fragment remaining from the original building. We wanted to strengthen the character of the place and return a small orientation point to the landscape. The Christian symbolism is evident. Rather than a definite statement, however, the construction is more of a question, a stimulus. The simple form is clear and was also practical for the self-help construction we were counting on. We assume that the reinforced concrete structure will resist external influences well over time and at the same time requires a minimum maintenance. The object was built by the Kobza family members themselves, who also funded the whole project (with some contribution of the municipality, which eventually joined).
